Planning board approves Racetrack Incorporated final plat and amended site plan

The Hobart City Redevelopment Authority voted to approve the final plat and the amended site plan for Racetrack Incorporated after staff and the petitioner said engineering comments had been addressed.
Ben Sumeet of Polar Engineering presented the consolidated final plat and described coordinated site‑plan work, highway dedications and roadway improvements including an added turn lane and culvert adjustments. He said the plan ties to previously approved site plan work and that outstanding staff comments were resolved in recent revisions.
Board members asked whether the site plan approval was separate from plat approval; staff clarified the items are bundled for this petition. A motion to approve the final plat and accept the amended site plan was moved and carried by voice vote.
The petitioner was asked to provide final signed documents; board staff said minor final edits would be coordinated before recordation. The approval allows the petitioner to proceed to subsequent permitting and engineering steps required by the city and INDOT for roadway modifications.
