Hennepin County accepts roughly $6 million in Ryan White Part A emergency relief funding

The Hennepin County Health Committee approved a HRSA Ryan White Part A Emergency Relief grant award on June 23 that increases the county’s receivable by just over $4.3 million, bringing the total award to a bit over $6 million for the March 1, 2026–Feb. 28, 2027 funding year.
Alyssa Fountain, Ryan White Program Manager, said the Part A grant funds core medical and supportive services through 12 clinic and community partners in a 13‑county jurisdiction and supports services including early intervention, outpatient ambulatory health care, medical case management, mental health and substance use treatment, medical nutrition therapy, home‑ and community‑based health services, housing assistance and food programs. Fountain said the program serves more than 3,000 people living with HIV in the grant jurisdiction and that the full notice of award restored funding after an earlier partial award this year.
The committee approved the grant award by voice vote.
