The Evergreen Local Board of Education approved a package of financial items June 22 after Treasurer Brian Carroll presented the May financial reports and a fund‑by‑fund summary.
Carroll told the board the reconciliation report shows bank balances are in order and read a cash summary and payroll/benefits breakout, noting the district is about 92% of the way through the fiscal year and has spent roughly 90–92% of payroll and benefits budgets. He reported a general fund balance spoken as $628,000 and discussed timing for paying outstanding invoices before the fiscal year end.
The board accepted several donations and adjustments listed by Carroll, including: $100 (anonymous) to the student assistance fund; $500 from the Fulton alumni association to the elementary principal; $1,500 from music boosters to the general fund for sound-system work; and $25,500 from athletic boosters to the general fund for student tickets. The board also approved appropriation modifications and transfers, including four returns of advances from the general fund to food service totaling $400,000 (four advances of $100,000 each spoken in the record).
The board authorized payment of Northwest Ohio Computer Association membership and EMIS fees (amount read aloud in the meeting; transcript contains unclear digits) and approved purchases for IEP Anywhere software, Zoom licenses, content filtering and other technical services estimated in the transcript at approximately $5,000 based on current ADM and licensing.
Board members also approved purchase of district insurance through the Ohio School Plan Administrative Services LLC with a total premium of $104,368 for the 12‑month policy July 1, 2026–July 1, 2027. The premium was described as an 18% increase over last year; coverage components (cyber, pollution, autofleet, property, violence, liability) were read aloud though several itemized amounts are difficult to read in the transcript.
All listed financial and procurement motions carried by roll-call votes as recorded in the meeting transcript.
