The Greenwood Plan Commission on June 22 approved the Sunset Grove primary plat (PC2026‑030) by unanimous vote, conditioning the approval on the Technical Review Committee's issuance of a final outside review letter. The motion passed with a recorded vote of "Motion carries 70." The motion was seconded by Miss Williams; the record did not specify the mover.
Donald Smithers of North Point Engineering said the Sunset Grove filing comprises 102 lots on roughly 30 acres south of Forceville Road and bounded on the west by railroad tracks. He told commissioners the team had been through technical review, addressed reviewer comments, and expected conditional approval pending final outside reviews from Commonwealth and city reviewers.
Staff recommended a favorable recommendation with the same outside review condition. With no substantive comments from commissioners, the body approved the primary plat, noting that the final outside review letter is a required step before any final plat recording or further approvals.
What happens next: Receipt of the TRC's final outside review letter and any outstanding Commonwealth or city review approvals will be necessary before the plat proceeds to final recording and secondary‑stage technical review.
