Staff said department heads were consulted and generally concurred with the MTAS schedule, while the town engineer requested a local amendment to retain certain bridge and street project plans and as-built documents permanently because of their long-term value for infrastructure improvements.
Staff recommended adoption of R-26-09, which formally adopts the MTAS retention schedule and any local amendments for the town’s official guidance. Aldermen had no questions; the board approved the resolution by roll call vote 4–0 at approximately 6:10 p.m.
The resolution formalizes records-management practices across departments and incorporates the engineering department’s proposed permanent retention for series E-2 bridge and street project files.
