Kings County Behavioral Health presented its Behavioral Health Services Act (BHSA) integrated plan for fiscal years 2026–2029 on June 23 and the Board of Supervisors authorized the chair to certify the plan.
Brenda Tamayo Pagan, program manager for Kings County Behavioral Health, told the board the three‑year integrated plan outlines how BHSA and related behavioral‑health funding will be used to expand access and improve outcomes for children, youth, adults and older adults. She said the plan reflects local needs and community planning input and that the plan’s budget averages between $18 million and $19 million per fiscal year. "These dedicated behavioral health dollars are programmed within our existing and projected revenue streams and have no impact on the county general fund," Tamayo Pagan said.
Tamayo Pagan said the item before the board was to authorize the chair to sign and certify the certification form that accompanies the BHSA integrated plan. The behavioral health advisory board reviewed the plan and the Department of Health Care Services accepted it in draft form. The board moved to authorize the chairman to sign the certification form; the clerk recorded affirmative votes.
