Tri-County Chamber outlines services as EDC defers FY27 funding decision

He said the chamber supports small businesses through marketing, monthly training sessions and networking events and noted the organization lists roughly 580 member businesses in its database. Lindquist emphasized the chamber captures metrics so it can show city leaders how membership would provide measurable returns.
The presentation was introductory and no funding request was decided. Staff said the Schertz–Cibolo–Selma chamber will present to the EDC in July and the board will consider funding as part of its budget meetings in July and August. Board members asked clarifying questions about chamber staffing (the director was referenced as Peggy/Becky Babcock), the number of ribbon cuttings in Cibolo (Lindquist said four in the past six months), and how membership tiers match different business needs. Lindquist offered to send additional RFI figures within 24 hours.
