An agency official representing Colorado Northwestern Community College had addressed the council earlier to clarify the college’s concerns, saying that students assigned to serve were not properly oriented and that the college and chamber had since met to work out procedures for future events.
After discussion, a councilmember moved to suspend the chamber’s special-event permits for one year, with reinstatement set for April 1, 2026. The motion was seconded and approved by voice vote.
