Board to honor OG Anunoby; district approves AMI days and highlights summer programs

The board also approved the district's application to the Missouri Department of Elementary and Secondary Education to use AMI (alternative methods of instruction) days during the 2026–27 school year if needed for snow days or other emergency cancellations. The deputy superintendent presented the AMI plan, explaining that AMI days are "used for review or practice. There are no grades given for those days' work and there should be no assessments on those days," and said elementary students would receive hard‑copy packets while secondary students would access material through Google Classroom. The board approved the district's intent to provide AMI days if necessary.
Other routine business included approval of the consent agenda (with one member abstaining because of a conflict) and announcements of future dates, including the next regular meeting on July 23 and the first day of school on Aug. 24. The board then moved to enter closed session under Missouri statute chapter 610.021 for specified personnel and legal matters.
