Pike Road council unanimously adopts Chantilly Golf re‑zoning, hazard mitigation plan and Outer Loop Phase 2

The Pike Road Town Council unanimously approved three measures at its June 8 regular meeting. Council members approved Ordinance 2026‑0618 to re‑zone property on Highway 80 for the Chantilly Golf development; adopted Resolution 021‑2026 to adopt the Hazard Mitigation Plan 2025–2030; and adopted Resolution 022‑2026 for the Outer Loop Project, Phase 2.

Councilwoman Angie Bradsher moved to approve Ordinance 2026‑0618 re‑zoning Hwy 80 for the Chantilly Golf project; Councilwoman Mim Whatley seconded the motion and the vote was unanimous. Planning staff had told the council the Planning Commission had approved a Development Plan for Chantilly Golf at its prior meeting, contingent on tonight's re‑zoning action.

On the Hazard Mitigation Plan, Mayor Gordon A. Stone described the resolution as a routine adoption that allows residents to apply for federal assistance in the event of a federally declared disaster; Town Engineer Brad Flowers concurred with the mayor's review. Councilwoman Angie Bradsher moved approval of Resolution 021‑2026 and Councilman Marcus Robinson seconded; the council voted unanimously to adopt the plan.

Mayor Stone presented Resolution 022‑2026 for the Outer Loop Project, Phase 2. Councilwoman Mim Whatley moved to approve the resolution, Councilman Marcus Robinson seconded, and the council adopted the resolution by unanimous consent.

Meeting minutes and the work session minutes of May 27, 2026 were also approved by unanimous consent earlier in the meeting (motion by Councilwoman Bradsher; second by Councilman Robinson). The council noted the Planning Commission chairman Doug Fuhrman was not in attendance for tonight's meeting. With no further business, the council adjourned at 6:26 PM.
