The Polk County Board of Equalization met in Osceola on April 22, 2025, and approved four tax list corrections affecting county parcels, the board’s minutes show.
Assessor Krance presented tax list corrections Nos. 1005 through 1008 to the board, saying three of the corrections updated the recorded owner name on parcels that had been sold before tax statements were printed and the county’s records updated. The remaining correction applied a full homestead exemption for 2024 to one parcel after the State failed to notify the Assessor that the property had qualified.
Boruch, a county board member, moved to approve the corrections “as presented.” The motion was seconded by Chairman Jerry Westring. The Clerk recorded a roll-call vote with Boruch voting aye and Westring voting aye; the board approved the corrections. Board member Boss was absent from the meeting.
The board convened at 9:00 a.m. and adjourned at approximately 9:10 a.m. The County Clerk’s record indicates a current copy of the Open Meetings Act was posted in the meeting room.
The minutes of the March 25, 2025 meeting were read and approved earlier in the session. No other business was recorded.
