Members approve claims including payroll; resident showcases volunteer tennis-court refurbishment

After routine business, the meeting opened a public forum. Resident Judy McGhearen of 714 Idlewood Drive described volunteer efforts to refurbish the park's tennis courts and presented before-and-after photos.
"We had eight volunteers and everybody had a great time and nobody got hurt," McGhearen said, describing a core team that cleaned surfaces, weeded perimeters and repaired a bench. She credited volunteers including her husband and named community helpers and said Woodland Bible Church lent a circular power washer and hoses that aided the work.
McGhearen listed volunteers and summer-discovery staff who helped and said she remains available to coordinate further improvements. She asked about materials for a community touch-up at season's end and noted price checks: "I've checked out the price of the Duracourt green and and uh blue paints. It's a little pricey, 85 dollars a gallon and some of the acrylics about $10 more than that a gallon for filler." She offered to help with labor and to solicit donated materials.
The chair thanked the volunteers for their work. Later in the meeting a member moved to adjourn and another seconded; the chair called the vote in favor and declared the meeting adjourned.
No formal board action was taken on the tennis-court work beyond public recognition and an offer from the resident to coordinate materials and volunteer time.
