Bradley County backs Tennessee Waste to Jobs Act, urges state lawmakers to act

The resolution states that Tennessee currently recovers a small share of recyclable packaging and that counties and municipalities face mounting landfill pressures and recycling-system costs. It lists goals for the proposed state law: create jobs, divert recyclable packaging from landfills, recover valuable materials for local businesses, and engage packaging producers in reduction and reuse efforts.
Commissioner Blake moved the resolution and Commissioner Josh Rogers seconded. The roll-call vote was 14–0 in favor.
