River Ridge board appoints Keith Merrill to vacant Seat 1 and elects officers

The River Ridge Community Development District Board unanimously appointed Keith Merrill to the vacant Seat 1 (term through November 2026) at its Oct. 22, 2024 meeting.
Chair Bob Schultz nominated Merrill; the motion was made by Schultz, seconded by Robert Twombly and approved without opposition. Mrs. Adams, acting as a notary, administered the Oath of Office. District Counsel Tony Pires and Mrs. Adams reviewed required ethics training, Form 1 disclosure, public records obligations, the Sunshine Amendment and Form 8B conflict procedures for local public officers.
The Board also adopted Resolution 2025-01 to elect officers. Kurt Blumenthal nominated the slate that appointed Bob Schultz as Chair, Terry Mountford as Vice Chair, Kurt Blumenthal and Robert Twombly as Assistant Secretaries, and Keith Merrill as an Assistant Secretary; the resolution also removed James Gilman from his Assistant Secretary role and preserved several prior appointments. The motion, made by Mr. Blumenthal and seconded by Mr. Mountford, passed unanimously.
Next steps: the Board confirmed Mr. Merrill will participate in required training and filings and will serve in Board and committee duties as assigned. No formal objections or recorded dissents were made during the action.
