San Ramon’s City Council presented a proclamation on June 23 recognizing June 2026 as Alzheimer’s and Brain Awareness Month. Vice Mayor Rubio read the proclamation and thanked local volunteers. Sahana Vasudevan, an Alzheimer's Association volunteer, described more than 400 hours volunteering in memory-care communities and emphasized the importance of awareness and caregiver support. Donnell Jones, event chair for the East Bay Walk to End Alzheimer’s, announced the local walk on Oct. 17 at Bishop Ranch (2700 Camino Ramon) and encouraged community participation and fundraising.
