The Winslow Township Board of Education carried a series of routine actions at its June 24 meeting, voting to approve prior meeting minutes, the superintendent’s report, the business administrator/board secretary report and the superintendent’s personnel recommendations.
The motion to approve the June 10 meeting minutes (open and closed sessions) passed on roll call; board records show one member registered an abstention on the closed session item. The board then approved the superintendent’s report (pages three through part of page five) and the business administrator/board secretary report (pages six through 12). Members voted to approve the personnel report as amended (striking one listed item). Where specific purchasing items were discussed, a board member noted an abstention on a line‑item later referenced as item 6A.
On calendar business, the board discussed dates for its annual retreat after identifying a conflict with Labor Day for the previously scheduled September date. Members polled availability and expressed a preference order: August 1 (first choice), August 15 (second choice) and September 26 (third choice). The board directed staff to finalize scheduling consistent with availability and quorum requirements.
All votes on the major consent motions were recorded by roll call and declared carried during the meeting.
