At its June 23 meeting the Tulare County Board of Supervisors recognized county employees who have completed 20 to 50 years of service and presented a certificate honoring the 70th anniversary of a hospital volunteer guild.
Human Resources staff identified 72 employees for recognition and named awardees by district; one honoree, Nora Barrera, received special applause for 50 years of service. County leaders thanked staff for their long tenure and public service contributions.
Separately, the board presented a certificate to members of the Kaweah Health auxiliary (referred to in the meeting as the 'Pink Ladies') for seven decades of volunteer service that county officials said benefits patients and families across the county.
The board took photographs with honorees and thanked staff for steady public service; supervisors emphasized institutional continuity and succession planning as reasons to highlight long tenures.
