Dundy County commissioners approve claims, extend conditional-use moratorium and sign multiple engagement letters

Dundy County Commissioners took several formal actions during their June 15 meeting, approving claims and motions on a range of administrative matters.
The board approved the agenda and then approved minutes for May 18 and June 1; the May 18 minutes recorded ayes by Sye Tecker and Tom Richard with Aaron Keiser abstaining, and the June 1 minutes recorded ayes by Tecker and Keiser with Richard abstaining. Commissioners reviewed claims for the pay period May 24–June 6, 2026, and approved payment after omitting the NIRMA bill (motion by Commissioner Aaron Keiser; seconded by Commissioner Tom Richard; ayes unanimous).
On policy and contracting matters, the commissioners unanimously adopted Resolution 76-26-9 to extend the Conditional Use Moratorium for another 12 months (moved by Commissioner Aaron Keiser; seconded by Chairman Sye Tecker). The board also approved engagement letters with Gabriel Burger Else CPA, PC (the county’s auditor) and with Daniel D. Miller, CPA, PC as budget preparer; both motions passed unanimously.
Other approved motions included acceptance of a proposed schedule to increase shared bailiff compensation among nine counties (moved by Commissioner Keiser; seconded by Commissioner Richard; ayes unanimous), approval of proposed changes to road maintenance routes per then-Roads Supervisor Kurt Sellers (moved by Keiser; seconded by Tecker; ayes unanimous), and authorization to purchase road grader blades from John Deere after reviewing competing bids (moved by Keiser; seconded by Tecker; ayes unanimous).
With no executive session called, the board adjourned at 10:35 a.m. The next regular meeting is scheduled for July 6, 2026, at 8:30 a.m.
