Support-staff hires approved included Melissa Ming; Jessica Paul; Christina Carbell; and Barbara Cribs.
Under contracts, the board approved awarding George Reese Construction $92,350 for concrete repair at the off‑field area and the high school; the contract will be paid from capital project funds. The board also approved educational and service agreements listed in items 11.1 and 11.2, the student technology insurance program and facility usage requests under the district fee schedule.
During informational items, the board announced upcoming meetings for August 5 and August 12 at Nicely Elementary School. The board presented a recognition to Dr. Kenneth A. Bissell "in grateful appreciation for your 22 years of dedicated service to the Greensburg Salem School District." Dr. Bissell thanked the board, said he would miss the district and its people, and expressed gratitude for his time in the district.
