Board reviews BP seed-list for Platte River Commons, moves future development ideas to committee

Rob Hurless reported that BP provided a seed list for replanting the portion of the Commons that had been disturbed during slurry-wall work and said BP would cover an initial cost. Hurless said the board could choose to pay the difference if it preferred to install sod or "real grass" rather than the seed BP offered. Eric Nunn cautioned that additional BP work in the area could damage new plantings or any irrigation the board might install now.
Board members discussed tying the replanting to future projects with consultants such as Great Ecology. The board also discussed a range of possible future uses for the properties — including using part of the site for events such as weddings or for storage units — and agreed to move those discussions to the Development Committee and continue them at a future meeting.
No formal motion or vote to authorize landscaping expenditures or to start any new development project was recorded in the minutes; the board noted the options and scheduled follow-up via committee review. The board adjourned at 8:24 p.m.
