Carbon County commissioners accept election canvass, approve Bridger Library ADA funding and authorize MCEP grant application

The board also approved allocating up to $6,850 in Wind Impact Fee funds to pay for concrete work for a new fully ADA-compliant entrance and ramp at the Bridger Library. Commissioners approved Resolution No. 2025-30 to authorize submission of a Montana Coal Endowment Program (MCEP) infrastructure-planning grant application to produce a Comprehensive Capital Improvements Plan. The county’s resolution commits $7,500 in matching funds if the grant is awarded and authorizes Stahly Engineering’s Stephanie Ray to submit the application and provide required materials.
A multi-item consent agenda was approved as submitted; items included Roberts Water & Sewer District well-house improvements (vendor invoice $50,851.88), a procurement variance related to Roberts Water & Sewer ($1,115), an interlocal agreement with Red Lodge Rural Fire District 7, deed recordings for an alley abandonment in Roberts, and assorted road-department encroachment permits.
