Red Oak council approves sale of 100 C Street parcel and adopts administrative resolutions

On separate motions the council denied a request for handicap parking in the street at 603 Skyline Drive (motion by Adam Hietbrink, seconded by Sharon Bradley) and adopted three administrative resolutions: 2026-50 updating personnel authorized to access city safe deposit boxes (motion by Jeanice Lester), 2026-51 amending the list of individuals authorized to sign checks and executive contracts (motion by Sharon Bradley), and 2026-52 establishing a new hourly wage of $26.50 for Nuisance Control Officer Andrew Palmquist (motion by Jeanice Lester, seconded by Adam Hietbrink). All motions passed on roll call votes.
During public comment, resident Randy Cooper asked the council to eliminate the No‑Trespass order at the Red Oak Municipal Airport; no action on that request was recorded at the meeting.
City Administrator Lisa Kotter announced community events including the first summer concert on June 11 and a National Night Out Bunco fundraiser on June 16. Mayor Timothy Fridolph adjourned the meeting at 6:26 p.m.
