Cridersville mayor, council appoint Darci Motter as village fiscal officer

Mayor Rick Walls and the Village of Cridersville council appointed Darci Motter as the village fiscal officer at a special meeting on Feb. 19, 2025, approving an annual salary of $55,000. Motter is scheduled to start on March 3, 2025.
The minutes state an interview committee made up of Eric West, Taylor West, Mayor Rick Walls and Village Administrator Jarid Kohlrieser had recommended Motter after an extensive interview process. Council Member Dylan Lauck moved to hire Motter with the $55,000 salary and permission to reside outside village limits; the motion was seconded and passed unanimously, 5-0. The council recorded Mayor Rick Walls, Council Members Dorance Thompson, Steve Numbers, Stacey Cook and Dylan Lauck as voting in favor.
Minutes note Motter will be available at the village office in the evenings beginning March 3, 2025. The meeting was adjourned on a motion by Lauck, seconded by Cook; the minutes bear the signatures of Taylor West, Village Fiscal Officer, and Mayor Rick Walls.
