The Village of Cridersville council voted Sept. 8 to pay Shane’s Seal-Coating to resurface the village tennis courts, a step officials said will restore playability and allow the village to add pickleball striping once new net poles are installed.
Park Chair Stacey Cook reported administrator Jarid Kohlrieser met with the contractor and said the firm estimated resurfacing at $6,800. Kohlrieser said a new tennis-net system would add an estimated $2,000. Council voted to pay the vendor (motion moved by Eric West and seconded by Shaun Wenrick); the motion passed 5-0.
Cook also reported village crews installed three bench shelters at Delong-Pioneer Park. Funding for those shelters came from The Eagles Wapakoneta Community Foundation Grant. Administrator Kohlrieser said he will order routers from Verizon to enable park cameras to come online.
