Council statements clarified the motion waived the statutory prohibition for issuance in that instance.
Several applicants appeared for hearings. Giselle Stumpf answered questions about her bartender’s license and Paula Jensen of Jensen Towing and Recovery appeared to press staff for a pending towing-rate submission; City staff (Mr. Morrissey) confirmed the paperwork had been received and was being processed with the city attorney.
The council voted to concur with a contract (L1) for environmental professional services with Stantec Consulting Services Inc. to administer the FY25 EPA Brownfields Communitywide Assessment Grant in the amount of $451,020; the Public Works committee recommended approval 5–0. Finance reported and the council approved disbursement record number 9 in the amount of $9,607,967.27 (M1); the council recorded the finance concurrence vote as 15–0.
