The council also approved an outright purchase of 80 Club Car golf carts and four Club Car Carryall utility carts from Intermountain Golf Cars Inc. for $456,400, which staff said will save roughly $53,000 over leasing. Power department items approved on the council’s consent included a GE Prolec transformer (staff recommended the low bid, $37,701), purchase of 46 utility poles from Stella‑Jones ($52,117), and a combined authorization for Echo Hydroelectric control system upgrades and three Accusonic ultrasonic flow meters. Power staff explained a multi‑stage procurement process and that the larger hydro work was presented together; the council approved the combined hydro‑controls and meter purchases in a single motion.
