Easton School Committee approves donation, contracts, schedule and ratifies educator agreements

Calendar and foundation: The committee approved its 2026–27 meeting schedule (two July/August meetings virtual; other dates posted in packet) and authorized committee member Jackie Wisman to serve as an interim contact for the Foundation for Excellence in Education while new volunteer board members are recruited.
Policies: The committee voted to approve policy JJ (fundraising), including clarified language about raffle compliance and recognition of participating students when competitive prizes are used, and approved policy I JNDDD (electronic communication and social media). Several other policies (sexual-harassment ACAB, ECAB access to buildings and grounds, GCG substitute-staff employment, and JFBB school choice) were presented for first reading and will return for a second reading.
Labor agreements: After an executive-session bargaining discussion, the committee returned to open session and ratified the collective-bargaining agreements with the Eastern Educators Association—units A and C.
