The city attorney advised there are many scales of data centers and that a defensible local policy would need clear size and zoning thresholds. The commission directed staff to conduct minimal, initial research and indicated a short resolution showing support for the governor’s approach could be brought forward if appropriate; no binding action was taken tonight.
