Lincoln County commissioners opened the first public hearing on Aug. 20 to consider proposed amendments to the Eureka Fire Service Area boundary (Resolution 2025‑27). Commissioners noted the process requires two public hearings and described three proposed expansion areas: Upper Pinkham Creek, Douglas Hill Road, and Phil's Lake. Maps of the proposed expansions were posted at the county annex for public inspection.
The board stood by for online comment and said anyone who did not have an opportunity to speak could use the Sept. 17 hearing, which was scheduled for 11:00 a.m. at the North Lincoln County Annex. The record from the Aug. 20 hearing shows no public comment other than a statement from a fire department representative present at the meeting.
The hearing was closed with the next hearing scheduled for Sept. 17, 2025.
