He described call volumes in the area of roughly 20–45 calls and said the department now provides coordinated EMS service through the Eureka ambulance.
Lane said the department had located a potentially suitable replacement but that the vehicle would require work and transport to the community; he asked the commissioners to place the item on a future agenda. A commissioner acknowledged the request and said it will appear on the agenda next week for formal consideration.
Next steps: The board will consider the request at an upcoming meeting; no funding decision was made at the public-comment session.
