Delhi Township trustees adopt two emergency nuisance resolutions and approve routine business

Delhi Township trustees on June 10 unanimously adopted two emergency resolutions declaring excessive vegetation nuisances at 590 Greenwell Avenue and 5313 Romance Lane and approved several routine administrative items, the Board said.

The Board dispensed with second readings and declared both measures emergencies before voting. Trustee Rosanne K. Stertz introduced each resolution and Trustee Cheryl A. Sieve seconded; Trustees Stertz, Sieve and Chair Michael D. Davis voted yes on roll call, and the resolutions were adopted.

In routine business, the trustees approved minutes from a May 22 special meeting and the May 27 regular meeting, authorized overtime pay for the pay period ending May 26, 2026, and approved bills for payment. Each of those motions was moved by Trustee Stertz, seconded by Trustee Sieve, and carried on unanimous roll-call votes (Stertz, Sieve, Davis). The Board also voted to enter and later conclude an executive session to discuss personnel and property matters; officials said no formal actions resulted from that session.

Fiscal Officer James J. Luebbe reported a $38,000 payment to PAR Public Safety Equipment for outfitting two police vehicles and noted payroll totals of $405,000 (May 21) and $415,000 (June 4). The Board also authorized opening bids for the Delhi Township Walking Path Project and forwarded the bids to Parks & Recreation Director Randy Supe for review; J.K. Meurer Corporation submitted a base bid of $49,867.28 and an alternate bid of $20,507.00.
