The Weld County Board of Commissioners conditionally approved a new hotel and restaurant county liquor license with one optional premise for Rodeo Dunes LLC (dba Rodeo Dunes) after finding perimeter fencing and required signage were not yet in compliance.
Assistant County Attorney Matt Conroy summarized the application and site‑visit findings for the board and noted one outstanding issue with the perimeter fence. Commissioner Lynette Peepler reported that a site inspection found fencing did not match the submitted diagram and identified signage at the main entrance as an additional outstanding item. The applicants, Clark Willard and Amy Jackson, provided their contact information and committed to submit proof of signposting within 24–48 hours, provide an updated fencing map by Thursday, June 18, and complete the physical fence work with a staff inspection by July 2.
A commissioner moved and a second was received to approve the license subject to specific, dated conditions: submission of signage proof and updated fence diagram by June 18, and a final staff inspection sign‑off by July 2. The motion carried. The board noted staff would return the file to a regular meeting once staff sign‑off is complete rather than returning to a public hearing.
The conditional approval allows the applicant to continue operations consistent with the license only after the stated conditions are satisfied and staff completes the required inspection.
