Beaver Borough lists PennDOT maintenance agreement, final paving payment and other administrative items on work‑session agenda

At the Aug. 27 Beaver Borough work session, Borough Manager and Chief of Police Dan Madgar outlined several upcoming action items for Council consideration.
Madgar listed a proposed renewal of a five‑year Winter Maintenance Agreement with PennDOT and a recommendation to approve final payment to Youngblood Paving, Inc. for paving work completed over the summer. He said a rental rate still needs to be established for a new mini‑stage at Quay Park and that Council should consider projects and a process to survey the public as part of the Comprehensive Plan update.
Madgar also reported that the Health Inspector and the Municipal Authority have been reviewing a draft Grease Trap Ordinance with local restaurants and food‑preparation facilities, and that the packet included a review of yard‑waste permit purchases in 2023 and 2024. The Pool Committee reported on the Aug. 24 Splash and Dash 5K and thanked the Police Department, Borough staff, fire department and Beaver Area School District for their support.
No formal votes were recorded during the work session on these items; the minutes list them as upcoming actions and packet materials were provided for Council review.
