The Chippewa Falls Common Council voted on June 2 to fund replacement of the Police Department’s Watch Guard video system in an amount not to exceed $161,000. The council approved using reserves for the purchase with planned reimbursement from 2026 borrowing proceeds.
Council member Tim Normand moved the measure, seconded by Jody Marr; roll call showed all six members present voting in favor (Normand, Marr, Dixon, Nadreau, Monarski, Kiefer). The motion passed. The funding authorization directs the purchase from reserves with the expectation that 2026 borrowing proceeds will reimburse the reserves.
