Mayor Jason Hiess called the Common Council of the City of Chippewa Falls to order at 6:30 p.m. on June 2, 2026. After the Pledge of Allegiance and a roll call, council members approved minutes from May 19 and May 26, 2026.
The council granted a conditional surrender of a Class B liquor license from Karmin Thibedeau, and approved issuance of that Class B license to Carmen Muenich for the Brass Lantern Saloon at 130 Fleet Street. Motions for these items were recorded as unanimous.

The council also approved issuing an RFP for Allen Park and approved five additional weekly hours (with back pay to Jan. 23, 2026) for the Director of Public Works/Utility Manager to cover extra duties until the Wastewater Supervisor vacancy is filled; funding to come from unspent wages.
