Red Hook housing committee explores county matching grant and transitional housing options

The Town of Red Hook Housing Committee on Feb. 23, 2026 discussed pursuing a county matching grant to support transitional housing and other local housing initiatives. The group reviewed potential short-term solutions—including motels and short-term rental platforms—as stopgap housing, and referenced Ulster County’s Community Housing Action Fund as an example of coordinated transition supports.
