Other business Board members heard an advocacy proposal to take public‑school supporters to Charleston on Jan. 21, 2027 to attend legislative session days and wear district‑branded shirts; staff asked for board support and said staff would seek voluntary participation and individual funding for travel and shirts. Staff reported they had been contacted by law firms about joining litigation against technology companies related to student cellphone addiction and said the item would be tabled while firms and fee terms are reviewed.
