Committee authorizes staff to work with city inspector on 209/213 E. Frederick St. remediation

Sara Chiamulera told the committee the sheriff’s department removed personal property from county-owned parcel RH-1327 (209/213 E. Frederick St., Rhinelander); items are in storage for 30 days under the sheriff’s process. A.R. Jones Land Surveying submitted a draft one-lot Certified Survey Map for county review, and an appraisal has been scheduled.
Chiamulera said the City of Rhinelander has an uninhabitable/raze order on the buildings and that the order is under review by the city. Troy Huber reported he has been in communication with the city inspector and recommended the inspector re-inspect before lifting the order. The committee authorized Huber to work with the city inspector to pursue removal of the uninhabitable/raze order and continue steps toward making the parcel sellable. The committee reviewed an estimate of expenses to date for remediation.
