The Shopping Area Redevelopment Board approved its Nov. 13, 2025 meeting minutes and introduced Zeeland’s newly appointed city clerk at its Dec. 11 meeting.
Marketing Director Abigail deRoo opened the personnel announcement by introducing Kristi DeVerney, who joins Zeeland from Grand Haven Township and will support SARB in her role as city clerk. Board Member VanHoven moved to approve the Nov. 13 minutes; VanKampen seconded, and all present voted aye. Board Member Barnes later moved to close the meeting; VanHoven seconded and the motion carried unanimously.
The introductions also noted that newly appointed City Councilman Andrew Bult (not present) will serve as SARB’s City Council liaison starting in January, replacing the seat previously held by Mayor Klynstra. The meeting was called to order at 9:04 a.m. and concluded following the closing motion.
No substantive policy or spending decisions were taken at this meeting; the board handled routine administrative business and personnel introductions. The City Clerk will support SARB going forward, and the liaison change means a new City Council contact for the board beginning in January.
