Select Board designates sewer director to accept full cybersecurity audit grant

Sewer Director Lee Arthur briefed the Rye Select Board on a grant opportunity from the Overwatch Foundation, in partnership with the New Hampshire Department of Technology and the New Hampshire Department of Environmental Services, that would fully fund a cybersecurity audit for the Sewer Department and cover implementation of any recommended improvements. Arthur said the department's existing tech vendor, Rockport Technologies, would conduct the audit and implement recommendations covered by the grant.
The Select Board approved a motion to designate Lee Arthur as the town's authorized representative for the grant, empowering her to furnish required information and sign documents pertaining to disbursement and agreements. The motion was made by Howard Kalet, seconded by John Tuttle, and passed unanimously.
