FORT MILL — The Fort Mill Town Council adopted a 10‑year Parks and Recreation Master Plan after a staff presentation that credited community engagement and consultant work with Bolton & Menk.
Gordon Burnett presented the plan and told council it is intended to be a roadmap to inform decisions about park locations, recreational programming and resource allocation over the next decade. Council members emphasized that adoption is a guiding vision and does not itself obligate funds to every recommendation in the plan.
Council approved the resolution to adopt the plan (item 5a) and staff will proceed with publishing the document and prioritizing implementation steps for future budget discussions.
