Oronoco planning commission recommends Justin Risdorfer to city council

The Oronoco Planning and Zoning Commission on March 5 voted unanimously to forward the application of Justin Risdorfer to city council for consideration to fill an open commission seat.
Justin Risdorfer introduced himself to the commission, saying, "I'm Justin Risdorfer ... we live over on the people's co-op side ... my wife and I and we have three kids," and described his long-term residency in Oronoco and interest in serving on the commission. Commissioners asked a few procedural questions about attending the council meeting and the timing of the council agenda.
A motion to approve Risdorfer's application and send it to city council was made and seconded. Commissioners voted in favor; staff will forward the application materials to council for their action. Risdorfer was told the council item will likely appear about halfway through the council agenda and is optional for him to attend.
