Cabell County EMS presented renewed state license after perfect inspection score

Melissa Kinnard, director of the West Virginia Office of Emergency Medical Services, presented Cabell County Emergency Medical Services with a renewed statewide license during the Cabell County Commission meeting on Feb. 11, 2016. Kinnard said only seven agencies in the state had achieved a 100 percent inspection score since 2013 and called CCEMS "a true asset" to the community.
Gordon Merry, director of CCEMS, accepted the certificate on behalf of the agency. Kinnard praised CCEMS staff as "true experts in their field," noting the agency's inspection performance since 2013 as a comparative measure of statewide quality.
The presentation was informational; no formal action was required beyond the presentation of the certificate. The recognition coincided with routine personnel and budget matters on the commission's agenda, including multiple hires for county emergency medical staffing and a separate county budget revision approved that day.
