At the June 16 Parks Advisory Board meeting members approved the April 21, 2026 meeting minutes and took two procedural votes regarding meetings.
Van Langevelde moved to approve the April 21 minutes; Lovaas seconded and the motion carried. Later in the agenda Story moved to cancel the July 21 meeting; Lovaas seconded and members Lovaas, Story and Van Langevelde approved the motion. The board set the next regular meeting for Aug. 18, 2026.
The board also agreed to a motion to adjourn at 8:21 p.m.; the adjournment motion was moved by Van Langevelde and seconded by Lovaas and was carried with Story noted as supporting the motion.
Why it matters: These procedural actions finalize minutes and alter the board’s near-term schedule; cancellation reduces meeting cadence until August.
What’s next: The board’s next regular meeting is Aug. 18, 2026.
