Polk County Board of Equalization approves tax list corrections

The Polk County Board of Equalization approved Tax List Corrections No. 1012 and No. 1013 during its Dec. 16, 2025 meeting in Osceola.
Assessor Krance presented the two corrections, which the minutes state adjusted the depreciation schedule applied to a parcel, removed a piece of personal property that had been added in error and updated the name of the property owner. Committee member Boss moved to approve the corrections "as presented," Chairman Jerry Westring seconded the motion, and the roll-call vote was recorded as Boss, aye; Westring, aye; Boruch, aye.
The board convened at 9:00 a.m.; notice of the meeting was published in the Dec. 11, 2025 issue of the Polk County News. The minutes of the Oct. 14, 2025 Board of Equalization meeting were read and approved. Chairman Jerry Westring informed those in attendance that a current copy of the Open Meetings Act is posted in the meeting room.
There being no further business, the Board of Equalization adjourned at 9:15 a.m. County Clerk Debra S. Girard and Chairman Jerry Westring signed the minutes.
