Kendyl Morris updated the Polk County Board of County Commissioners on Nov. 18 about Road Department operations and ongoing projects for Highway Superintendent Theis. Morris reported the first lift of the overlay project on Osceola North is complete and the second lift was being laid the same day.
Morris said the crew recently completed NIRMA safety training during a crew meeting, performed grading and installed a culvert on N Road from 136th Road southward, and that the Polk shop requires a new heater. The update was provided as part of routine departmental reports; no board directive or formal vote on equipment purchase was recorded in the minutes.
