The Sherborn Governance Task Force III decided at its June 15 meeting to keep a public governance survey open through June 19 and to conduct an in‑person review of roughly 15 to 20 of the town's 35 boards and committees at a June 22 meeting, members said.
Ms. Rellas, a member of the Sherborn Governance Task Force III, reported that a few more completed surveys arrived over the past two weeks and that she will distribute the final survey results to Task Force members before the June 22 meeting. The group agreed to leave the survey open until June 19 to give residents additional time to respond.
The Task Force identified approximately 15 to 20 committees and boards for focused review, saying the reviews will examine each body's size, whether the body performs technical or policy-making functions, and whether the SGTF interview process flagged any effectiveness concerns. The June 22 meeting will be held in person to allow members to work through the roster of committees and boards.
Mr. Connolly, a Task Force member, urged colleagues to complete at least two Idea Assessment forms for the ideas assigned to them at each of the next two meetings so that the vetting work advances at pace. The instruction is an internal workload expectation; the record does not show a formal vote on the requirement.
The Task Force also removed the planned presentation on transfer station management from the meeting agenda and approved the June 1 meeting minutes (the record does not specify who moved or seconded either action). Members scheduled the next SGTF III meetings for June 22 and June 29. The meeting adjourned at 7:16 PM.
