The River Ridge Community Development District board accepted the resignation of Supervisor James Gilman (Seat 1) during its Aug. 27 meeting and directed staff to solicit applicants to fill the unexpired term.
Mrs. Adams presented Mr. Gilman’s resignation letter and the board discussed procedures for filling the vacancy. The board agreed that because this is an appointment to fill a seat rather than an election, Mr. Long and The Meadows’ POA manager will e-blast residents about the vacancy, candidate qualification requirements and where to submit resumes or letters of interest before the next meeting. Mrs. Adams also noted that administration of the oath of office and required ethics training and disclosure filings will be provided for any appointee.
On a motion by Supervisor Kurt Blumenthal, seconded by Supervisor Robert Twombly, the board accepted Mr. Gilman’s resignation.
