River Ridge CDD adopts FY2024-25 budget and approves special assessments

The River Ridge Community Development District board adopted its fiscal year 2024–25 budget and approved a separate resolution imposing special assessments during a public hearing on Aug. 27, 2024.

District Manager Chuck Adams said the budget package circulated with the agenda contained scrivener errors; the board corrected the description for "street sweeping" and other minor items before voting. Mrs. Adams opened the public hearing and no property owners spoke. Tony Pires, district counsel, asked whether any public emails had been received; Mrs. Adams said none had been submitted.

On a motion by Supervisor Kurt Blumenthal, seconded by Supervisor Robert Twombly, the board unanimously adopted Resolution 2024-07, "Relating to the Annual Appropriations and Adopting the Budget(s) for the Fiscal Year Beginning October 1, 2024, and Ending September 30, 2025," as amended. The board then opened a separate public hearing on Resolution 2024-08, which makes a determination of benefit and imposes special assessments. After the hearing closed with no public comment, the board approved an amendment to delete references to "Exhibit B" and adopted Resolution 2024-08 as amended (motion by Blumenthal; second by Twombly).

The board approved both resolutions unanimously. The adopted budget covers the period Oct. 1, 2024–Sept. 30, 2025, as described in Resolution 2024-07.

What’s next: The board recorded the actions in the meeting minutes and will post the adopted budget and related documents according to the district’s standard public-record procedures.
