Tigerpaw Early Childhood Center principal outlines carline drop-off and pickup procedures

Casey Winkler, principal of Tigerpaw Early Childhood Center, explained the school—arline procedures parents should follow during the first week of school. Winkler said the building ppears to have many entrances from Fourth Street but those are emergency exits; the main entrance is in the back parking lot, accessed from the north side of the building. Cars should form a line along Fourth Street, pull into the back lot, stop at cones where staff will assist children exiting or entering vehicles, then loop forward and exit the same way they entered.

Winkler asked parents, if possible, to place a child—ar seat on the passenger side to make transfers quicker and requested that parents remain in their vehicles while staff unbuckle and bring children inside. For pickup, staff will not buckle children into car seats; parents who need to secure a child in a car seat should pull forward out of the line to do so. If a child must be dropped off late or picked up early, parents should park in the back lot and enter through the main entrance. Winkler closed by thanking families and saying the staff looks forward to meeting students and keeping them safe.
